Institute Explores the Possibility of Creating a Database for Analysis
The Institute is beginning work to explore the possibility of developing a Data Warehouse — an integrated database for conducting economic and fiscal analysis.
The initiative envisages assessing the possibility of integrating data from DMBAT-2, UzASBO, the “Open Budget” platform, and other government information systems. In the future, such a tool could be used to analyze the shadow economy, identify tax and fiscal risks, prepare forecasts, and improve the quality of management decisions.
As part of this work, a meeting was held with World Bank experts. Participants discussed international approaches to developing analytical databases, ensuring interoperability between information systems, and using administrative data in applied research.
The recommendations received will be taken into account when assessing the technical and organizational feasibility of implementing this initiative.
